Alright folks, after careful consideration, we're done with simpledrm for now.
It worked fine on all my machines (but not noticably better in any way), but
granted I don't need to load EDID, nor do I generally use the NVIDIA blob.
You can all blame me for failing to remember the principle of YAGNI. Maybe
we'll need this down the road, but we do not need it *now*. And maybe by the
time we need something else, the replacement for simpledrm will work a bit
better. Cheers! :-)
